June 23rd, 2009 - MPD-0.15 released

MPD version 0.15 has been released. This is a stable release and thus has about 6 months of changes, 350 file changes, over 50,000 line changes and over 1000 commits. Some of the highlights are: 24/32 bit support, audio archive support (bz2/iso9660/zip), all config entries are completely optional now, multiple and pulseaudio mixer support, new audio playing modes (consume, etc..), sticker database, improved tag parsing of all types and too many interesting highlights left out of this list. May 26th, 2009 - Ario 1.3 released

Ario version 1.3 has been released. This new release adds a lot of features that you can discover on Ario web site.

May 25th, 2009 - mpc-0.16 released

mpc version 0.16 has been released. This is a feature release, which adds support for the consume, current, idle and single commands.

May 7th, 2009 - mpd-0.15~beta2 released

MPD version 0.15~beta2 has been released. This release fixes a few critical bugs from 0.15~beta1 in the shoutcast/httpd output plugins and the vorbis encoder. See the ChangeLog for more information

April 30th, 2009 - mpd-0.15~beta1 released

MPD version 0.15~beta1 has been released. This major test release contains hundreds of fixes, refactoring of major subsystems and plugins, and dozens of new features. Features include a new mixer API allowing different... mixers, audio archive extraction, stickers database support, a native Solaris output plugin, more complete ffmpeg support, and much more. Since alpha1 there has been many bugfixes and a few critical modifications, such as icy support for the httpd plugin. See the ChangeLog for more information.

April 21st, 2009 - ncmpc 0.14 released

ncmpc version 0.14 has been released. Added a number of new features: screen swap; more verbose information for the information screen; new navigation key bindings; optional bell on wrapped search; support for single and consume mode and better control over ranges in the playlist. New translations: Czech, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Ukrainian and Dutch.

March 9th, 2009 - gmpc, gmpc-plugins and libmpd 0.18.0 released

gmpc version 0.18.0 has been released. This new release features global copy & paste, easy commands (gnome-do like interface), a Win32 installer, albumartist tag support, artist image tooltip, Jamendo and Magnatune searching (if plugins are included), MPD 'stickers' support, serverstats and favorites are now integrated, improved graphic icons, more translations, the usual bugfixes and many many other improvements. February 23rd, 2009 - gmpc, gmpc-plugins and libmpd 0.18.0-beta1 released

gmpc version 0.18.0-beta1 has been released. Fix many bugs since alpha1 including visual flaws, avoid race conditions in dealing with the server updating tags, and update translations. See the full changelog for more details.

February 13th, 2009 - mpd 0.14.2 released

MPD version 0.14.2 has been released. This release contains bug fixes for many decoder plugins. This release also adds True Audio file support and WAV streaming in the ffmpeg decoder plugin. See full changelog for more details.

February 10th, 2009 - gmpc, gmpc-plugins and libmpd 0.18.0-alpha1 released

gmpc version 0.18.0-alpha1 has been released. Many changes including: improved visuals; integrated server statistics; improved win32 build with installer; improvements in the search browser; revert back to mainline gtk progress bar; albumartist support; Gnome Do support and the usual round of usability improvements; bugfixes and many more features. Plugins received vast improvements in the magnatune and jamendo plugins, including searching capibilities and large decrease in memory footprint due to new dependency on sqlite. And libmpd has become more stable than ever. Go to the downloads page to get it all and see all the changes since 0.17.0.

February 4th, 2009 - guimup 0.1.3 released

guimup version 0.1.3 has been released, fixing a few bugs and now sorts which is now required by MPD 0.14.

February 1st, 2009 - mpc 0.15 release

mpc version 0.15 has been released. This release improves bash completion handling, contains a few "under the hood" optimizations and fixes iconv regressions. Otherwise contains minor bugfixes and features.

January 17th, 2009 - mpd 0.14.1 released

MPD version 0.14 has been released. This release features fixes for jack instability, many streaming issues, solaris build, cross fading audio defects, improvement in software volume and non-distribution building. This releases adds writer/composer tag support and disables oggvorbis seeking on remote files, which fixes slow ogg file streaming playback. See full changelog for more details.

January 17th, 2009 - mpdscribble 0.16 released

mpdscribble version 0.16 has been released. This version adds support for repeating audio files, fixes support for older MPD servers, and other small features and bugfixes. For more information see the full log.

January 9th, 2009 - ncmpc 0.13 released

ncmpc version 0.13 has been released. Added support for regular expressions, disable wide characters support while retaining multibyte characters, a new outputs configuration screen and a disable locale option. Otherwise, there have been many bugfixes and translation updates.

January 4th, 2009 - mpdscribble 0.15 released

mpdscribble version 0.15 has been released. This release fixes the high CPU usage when MPD is paused, allows a cleartext password in the config file and logs with the local time rather than UTC. Otherwise, bugs were fixed and documentation was updated. For more information see the full log.
