MPD version 0.15.6 has been released. This release fixes OggFLAC, some annoyances and a few critical bugs.

October 18th, 2009 - mpd-0.15.5 released

MPD version 0.15.5 has been released. This release improves stability by fixing one hang and a few memory leaks.

October 14th, 2009 - gmpc-0.19.1 released

gmpc version 0.19.1 has been released. This release fixes a couple of critical bugs and introduces the 'now playing' feature window. This release, unlike other releases, only features the gmpc core; plugins and libmpd from 0.19.0 are compatible.

October 5th, 2009 - mpc-0.18 released

mpc version 0.18 has been released. This main feature of this release is the move to libmpdclient2, otherwise this release adds a few new features such as the findadd command and fixes a few bugs.

October 3rd, 2009 - libmpdclient-2.0 released

libmpdclient version 2.0 has been released. This release brings a complete rewrite, by many contributors, was a complete rewrite to make it a stable, documented, asynchronous API redesign.

October 3rd, 2009 - mpd-0.15.4 released

MPD version 0.15.4 has been released. This release fixes the OSX 10.6 build, Ogg Vorbis issues, and a few other minor issues.

September 24th, 2009 - ncmpc 0.15 released

ncmpc version 0.15 has been released. Changes include an improved build, updated lyricwiki plugin, fixed bugs and a tweaked display.

September 19th, 2009 - gmpc, gmpc-plugins and libmpd 0.19.0 released

gmpc version 0.19.0 has been released. It has several large changes visible to the user and factors more under the hood. Several long standing "wishes" where completed, like metadata plugins running in the main thread, a metadata selector, sqlite based metadata cache, GObject based plugins and much more. August 25th, 2009 - gmpc, gmpc-plugins and libmpd 0.19.0-rc1 released

gmpc version 0.19.0-rc1 has been released. (From 0.18.0) This version has several large changes visible to the user (from 0.18.x) and factors more under the hood. Several long standing "wishes" where completed, like metadata plugins running in the main thread, a metadata selector, sqlite based metadata cache, GObject based plugins and much more. This version cleans up a crasher and fixes a couple of bugs, readying for release.

July 15th, 2009 - mpd-0.15.1 released

MPD version 0.15.1 has been released. Coming hot on the heels of 0.15 comes the next stable release including fixed Mac OSX compiling, an assertion fix in the FLAC decoder, the split second "resume playback during pause" and a double free() on shutdown.

July 8th, 2009 - mpdscribble 0.18 released

mpdscribble version 0.18 has been released. This version includes improved detection of repeated songs, MusicBrainz tags, CURL as a libsoup alternative, support for multiple scrobbler services and more. For more information see the full log.

June 23rd, 2009 - mpd-0.15 released

MPD version 0.15 has been released. This is a stable release and thus has about 6 months of changes, 350 file changes, over 50,000 line changes and over 1000 commits. Some of the highlights are: 24/32 bit support, audio archive support (bz2/iso9660/zip), all config entries are completely optional now, multiple and pulseaudio mixer support, new audio playing modes (consume, etc..), sticker database, improved tag parsing of all types and too many interesting highlights left out of this list. May 25th, 2009 - mpc-0.16 released

mpc version 0.16 has been released. This is a feature release, which adds support for the consume, current, idle and single commands.

May 7th, 2009 - mpd-0.15~beta2 released

MPD version 0.15~beta2 has been released. This release fixes a few critical bugs from 0.15~beta1 in the shoutcast/httpd output plugins and the vorbis encoder. See the ChangeLog for more information

April 30th, 2009 - mpd-0.15~beta1 released

MPD version 0.15~beta1 has been released. This major test release contains hundreds of fixes, refactoring of major subsystems and plugins, and dozens of new features. Features include a new mixer API allowing different... mixers, audio archive extraction, stickers database support, a native Solaris output plugin, more complete ffmpeg support, and much more. Since alpha1 there has been many bugfixes and a few critical modifications, such as icy support for the httpd plugin. See the ChangeLog for more information.

April 21st, 2009 - ncmpc 0.14 released

ncmpc version 0.14 has been released. Added a number of new features: screen swap; more verbose information for the information screen; new navigation key bindings; optional bell on wrapped search; support for single and consume mode and better control over ranges in the playlist. New translations: Czech, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Ukrainian and Dutch.

March 9th, 2009 - gmpc, gmpc-plugins and libmpd 0.18.0 released

gmpc version 0.18.0 has been released. This new release features global copy & paste, easy commands (gnome-do like interface), a Win32 installer, albumartist tag support, artist image tooltip, Jamendo and Magnatune searching (if plugins are included), MPD 'stickers' support, serverstats and favorites are now integrated, improved graphic icons, more translations, the usual bugfixes and many many other improvements.
