Music Player Daemon Gapless Troubleshooting

The MP3 standard does not allow for true gapless playback. However, the lame MP3 encoder has extended the MP3 standard to include a header which makes gapless playback possible. MPD supports this header and should properly play MP3s which include the lame header gaplessly. If your MP3s are not playing gaplessly in MPD they are likely missing this lame header.
