This is a list of operating systems MPD is tested and known to run on, but is not limited to. This is probably not nearly a complete list, please feel free to add what you have sucess to get MPD working on.

• Linux (all distributions that have the dependencies)
  • MPD--uClinux - A branch of MPD for uClinux running MMU-less machines
• FreeBSD
• OpenBSD (Note: If you don't run IPv6, disable it explicitly via configure-script, or mpd will bind to tcp6 (applies to NetBSD too, but the pkgsrc version already disables IPv6. Does apply to FreeBSD, but they have a sysctl for that))
• NetBSD
• Solaris
• HPUX
• MacOS X
